Otish Energy Inc. (OEI - TSX - V) is a resource exploration company focused on the exploration and development of Gold, Rare Earth Elements and Uranium in Quebec, Canada.
Otish Energy recently closed a $959,592.00 financing to commence an extensive exploration program on it’s 100-per-cent-interest Noyelles gold property comprising 66 mineral claims in the Noyelles and Bruneau townships, Abitibi area of Quebec.
The property lies within the Casa Berardi-Cameron deformation corridor that hosts several orebodies and gold deposits, notably the Casa Berardi gold mine with over five million ounces of gold and the Discovery deposit with more than 500,000 ounces of gold. The property is located approximately 20 kilometres from the Discovery deposit.
Otish plans a diamond drill program on the Noyelles property in May or June 2010.

Mining in Quebec
Quebec recently ranked as the world's best place for mining by the Fraser Institute. The survey also found most companies also foresee an increase in mineral prices over the next two years, with 84 per cent of those surveyed expect the increase to be either moderate or substantial.
The Fraser Institute made public its annual survey of mining companies in April 2010, representing the opinions of 670 mining executives and managers internationally on the policy and mineral riches of 72 jurisdictions on all continents except Antarctica.
Quebec's strengths include not only its raw materials, but also its highly-trained workforce, infrastructure, highly-developed road and rail networks, three international airports, several sea ports and abundant, competively priced energy.
