Mr. Steve Smith reports
OTISH ENERGY COMPLETES ITS FIRST DIAMOND DRILLING CAMPAIGN ON ITS 100% GATEAU PROPERTY IN THE OTISH BASIN, QUEBEC, CANADA
Otish Energy Inc.’s first diamond drilling campaign was completed on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, on its 100-per-cent-owned Gateau property in the Otish basin, Quebec, Canada. The Gateau property covers 334 mineral claims totalling approximately 17,872 hectares.
TEight holes, GAT-1 to GAT-8, were drilled for a total of 1,910 metres. Diamond drilling was focused on the C block of the Gateau property where graphitic horizons and potential reducing environment favourable for uranium deposition were previously reported. The Gateau property is adjacent to Cameco’s Camie River property where, recently in 2007, Cameco intersected 13 metres at 1.5 per cent U3O8 (uranium dioxide) near Gordon Lake.
Several core samples are being shipped to a certified laboratory. Otish Energy expects to disclose results by mid-August, 2008.
Additional fieldwork and airborne geophysics will be undertaken shortly in the Otish area. A second diamond drilling campaign is planned and should resume in August, 2008, to follow-up on previous work and test new targets.
We seek Safe Harbor.
